Keeping the Inspiration and Motivation for Blogging
By Ashley Crossman

Intro: I don't have the biggest blog but I have managed to stay with it through cancer, having 2 kids, countless moves, career and changes in life goal. I have learned that with all the struggle comes a reward of furthered insight into myself and what I want. I have also learned many tips and techniques to keep the inspiration flowing after 10 years of writing with ups and downs and completely remaking my image many times. I have found a flow to fight the frizzles of life.

Inspiration's Struggles
Life, Kids, Work
The list goes on anything can take you away from doing what you want to do but if you keep at it you will figure away to make it happen. I struggled to find time and blog or even post my recipes. I had pictures backed up for many recipes I cooked. It was all on my phone I never had time to get on a laptop my son was 4 months and my girl 20 months almost 2 no time to sit and type. But tons of new material. I decided to take my blog to instagram I post to instagram and it reposts right to tumblr. For my personal blog. This way I can get my in the moment posts out before they are gone.

Writers block
Then sure enough you get the time, your sitting in front of a actual computer, everything's peaceful but all those ideas in you head you can't wait to get on paper become about 4 lines of text and your out of ideas or just don't know what to do next. That's when it's important you are Staying true to your own voice The most important thing you can do is stay true to you . What you like and what inspires you.
Example:
Don't try to write about eating vegan if you like bacon... hahah.... A mistake I made when I started green girl style I wanted to go vegan and was in my own diet. but about 6 months into my blog I got pregnant and baby wanted what baby wants. [pause]

Committing
Make goals and keep them
Set a time and figure out where you will blog.
I blog –when possible- in the living room watching my kids or from my phone.
Figuring out the When, Where, What and How often is a tool for success.

Where to find inspiration and how to keep it going.
Every where in everything. We have all herd the standard inspiration go to's. The best thing to do is to cut the bull make your own list what inspires you. On a piece of paper:
  • Write down the first 10 things to come to mind you do EVERYDAY.
  • Now write 10 thing you want to do more of.
  • Now circle the items you have no problem with sharing to the world. That's what you can find inspiration to write from.
  • Now if you have all your circles on your want to do items. You need to get out there and do them! And consider some daily activities you can blog about. You know for the rainy days.
  • On the flip side if you have circles on all daily activities you will probably never run short of article items although you should consider the quality of your sharing.
  • An in the rare chance no circles around a want to do item then get out and do something new you would want to write about.

Blogging it's self can be the inspiration.

Your never done learning
Look for the things you learn in your life and share them. They can be things from the next chapter as it was for me. I was blogging for about 8 years before I had my children sharing fashion, modeling tips, and celebrity good news. I have definitely changed and have started sharing all the things I am learning as I raise my children.

The Next Chapter
Life's ups and downs are apart of life and they will be apart of blogging as well. Learn to look for them so that you can go with changes and in the best cases turn them into fodder for your blog.

Happily Ever After
You have achieved enlightenment
Your blogging, sharing what inspires and interests you.
You have figured out your Blogging flow when, where, what and how often.
You have a go to plan for when inspiration is lacking.

Why are people so negative on social media.

The Question was purposed, "Why is it easier for people to be negative them positive?"

In my option the world has turned to social media to be the ear to cry to; the person that hears all your troubles. We use social media the way nowadays, before people use to use a stranger in the store. Our parents  would tell a stranger a story about their troubles and then feel better. They would get understanding and acceptance but not have to divulge their troubles to people that know them daily. Humans like to keep an Idea of ourselves that is beautiful and right, so in order to do that we make ourselves look a certain way for the world and everyone we know.  see ourselves through others not always what we truly are but the curated moments we put online. The trouble with that is now we are knowing the whole world in ways with the internet and people don't have a anonymous ear to talk to they randomly. We go online and vent, we make mean comments when we have a bad day and hold back praise because we must be "to cool for school" or 'to cool to like'

I was shocked to see how over weight I had become during my battle with cancer. Most the weight I gained was during the first three months after I finished Chemo. The steroids where still working but the effects of chemo where wearing off and I was able to begin eating regular but not up to working out in my old regiment. I gain a awful 30lbs I am still struggle to take it off I have seen my clothes get loser but my weight remains the same I know this is normal when beginning to lose weight. I even gained 5 lbs and lost it during my first weeks. The reason for this is simple mussel ways more then fat so I gained mussel, lost fat and size while the scale hasn't shown any improvement. I am frustrated a little but know it's just part of the process. Below is the before picture that made me realize I need to start kicking my own butt!
Picture
That's no baby bump just a lump. Number one thing I learned with yoga and having been heavy to lose the weight once before. I always remember to love the body I am in and I am working with the body I have now. In the next post I will share a normal day for me in my diet routine. I am fine tuning the details.
